The Indy Chapter of BDPA will provide the opportunity for individual, corporate, and nonprofit memberships that will give its members access to: Relevant Resources Transforming Workshops and Training Powerful Speakers Certification opportunities Support team A place to leverage their gifts, talents, experiences and skill.

NETWORKING

The Indy Chapter of BDPA will provide monthly community networking events. These events will host a guest speaker, give members an opportunity to engage with other members and also drive membership.

Networking is fun! Networking promotes knowledge-sharing. Networking boosts your profile. Networking strengthens connections. Networking spawns fresh ideas. Networking keeps you “in the know”.

TRAINING

The Indy Chapter of BDPA offers certificate training courses for those looking to enhance their skills in the STEM industry. These training courses serve as launching ground for a successful start or restart.

Enjoy an open coaching forum which promotes healthy conversation and stimulates thought. Action steps are given at the summation of every lesson.

COACHING

The Indy Chapter of BDPA will empower its members through coaching helping them to achieve a specific personal or professional goal by providing training and guidance.

Target meaningful career and life goals; set realistic strategies to achieve them. Increase your ability to prioritize, self-motivate and complete projects. Improve relationships.

BDPA SITES AND HSCC PROGRAMS

The National High School Computer Competition (HSCC) and Student Information Technology Education and Scholarship (SITES) are geared towards high school students to expose them to the realm of technology, present scholarship opportunities, and jumpstart their careers. Participating in SITES prepares students for competing in HSCC; during hour-long Saturday classes, students will become immersed in various development opportunities with an emphasis on technical exposure, guided coding courses, and professional development.

SITES is now accepting registrations for the 2023 program.

DONATE TO THE BDPA CAUSE

For more than 40 years, BDPA has enabled the upward mobility of African Americans and other minorities in the Information Technology (IT) and STEM fields. Through its 30+ local community chapters in major cities across the United States, BDPA has been at the forefront of promoting the minority agenda within the IT profession since 1975. BDPA has been a leader and pioneer in technology and STEM training for IT professionals and High School students since 1986.
